How Bánh Mì Kitchen is Putting Together a Community and Movement Towards Healthier Lifestyle

In today’s fast-paced world, finding the time and support to maintain a healthy lifestyle can be challenging. Bánh Kitchen is stepping up to the plate by creating a community that promotes not just healthy eating but also a more active, wellness-driven lifestyle. From supporting local sports events to offering nutritious meal options, the brand is leading the charge in helping Filipinos live better, healthier lives.

The Role of Community in Health and Wellness

Did you know that a recent survey revealed 9 out of 10 people are increasingly interested in healthy and sustainable products? After the pandemic, more people are prioritizing their well-being, with healthier eating habits at the top of their lists. However, staying on track with these goals can be tough, especially without the right support.

That’s where community comes in. Whether it’s joining a fitness group, participating in sporting events, or simply sharing wellness goals with friends, being part of a community helps individuals stay motivated and supported. BMKN understands this, which is why they’re not just about serving healthy food—they’re about building a community that encourages people to live healthier and more active lives.

Supporting Sports and Local Filipino Athletes

For many, staying fit and active isn’t easy. Busy schedules, lack of motivation, and limited access to fitness activities can all get in the way. Bánh Kitchen recognizes these challenges and has made it a mission to help people overcome them.

One way they do this is by actively participating in various athletic events like fun runs and marathons, including the PBA Usana Run 2023 and the Manila and Cavite qualifiers of the National Milo Marathon. Not only do they join these events, but they also provide participants with healthy and delicious bánh mìs and beverages to refuel after the race.

Bánh Kitchen’s involvement doesn’t stop there. They’ve partnered with HPV Runners for the PAPVAXRUN, a fundraising event supporting the Bank of America’s Chicago Marathon 2024, which raises awareness for cervical cancer and HPV. This initiative goes beyond promoting physical fitness—it advocates for healthcare awareness, showing Bánh Kitchen’s commitment to holistic well-being.

Bánh Kitchen Serves More Than Just Food

For many Filipinos, finding healthy, convenient food options can be a struggle. That’s why the brand is proud to offer its Healthy Trio, which includes the Protein Monster, the Fish Fillet Bánh , and the Meatless Falafel Bánh . These choices cater to everyone—from fitness enthusiasts looking for a protein-packed meal to those who prefer a vegan option.

Aside from their signature bánh mìs, Bánh Kitchen also offers fresh and baked spring rolls, vermicelli salads, and ph with hearty beef balls. By making healthy eating accessible and delicious, they help individuals make better food choices without compromising on taste or convenience.

Empowering Filipino Athletes: BMKN Basketball

Bánh Kitchen’s support for healthier lifestyles goes beyond food. The company also invests in local sports, particularly basketball. Since April 2023, Bánh Kitchen has been sending 3x3 basketball athletes to international tournaments.

Their journey started with the Asia Open 3x3 Tour in Manila and has continued with events like the Red Bull Halfcourt National Finals and Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 Quest, where they’ve made impressive strides.

BMKN’s basketball team, made up of local talents and ex-professional players, has competed on the international stage, including the FIBA Mengzi: 3x3 International Men’s Basketball Club Challenge in China, where they finished 6th out of 16 teams. This dedication to supporting Filipino athletes not only promotes the sport but also encourages the community to lead active, healthy lives.

Dominating International 3x3 Basketball Courts

For the brand, success in sports is about more than winning titles—it’s about inspiring others. But after several impressive showings in international competitions, BMKN Basketball finally brought home the championship title in Thailand’s 3x3 Basketball International League 2024. The team’s victory qualified them for the 3x3 Hongcheon Challenger in South Korea.

The journey didn’t stop there. Despite facing challenges such as injuries and player changes, BMKN’s team persevered through a series of stops in the 2024 Yunnan 3x3 Circuit in China. Their resilience and determination led them to win the championship on the fourth stop of the circuit, showcasing their commitment to excellence.
